1. Do I need a doctor’s referral for Pilates?
No, because Physiotherapist’s are primary healthcare practitioners, you do not need a doctor’s referral.

2. Does Medicare cover Pilates?
Unfortunately Medicare does not cover Pilates exercise services.

3. How much does Pilates cost?
Physio Essentials prides ourselves on providing you with essential and high quality exercise based solutions, at a valuable investment for you.

  • Rehabiliation Pilates Sessions – $30/session
  • Clinical Pilates Sessions – $27/session
  • Equipment Pilates Sessions – $22/session

4. Can I use my Private Health Fund Insurance to claim for Pilates?
This is dependent on your Private Health Fund provider, and also if you are doing Pilates for treatment of a condition or not. An assessment/chat with our friendly staff can assist you with this question.

7. How much of the cost will my health fund cover?
Each health fund has their own rules and policies. Please check with your health fund.

6. What payment options do you offer?
At Physio Essentials, we also accept cash, cheque, eftpos and VISA/Mastercard payments.

7. Do I need to book?
Yes. To ensure that groups do not get overbooked, and your spot is reserved in a timeslot that suits you, Pilates bookings are made by the term.
All participants are to select the timeslot that suits them. You will remain in this group for the duration of the term. Changes to session attendance can only be made with prior approval from PhysioEssentials.

8. What if I can’t make a session?
At our valuable rates, there are no refunds/roll over of payments.
If however you provide PhysioEssentials with at least 1 week notice of a session you are unable to attend, we endeavour to organise for you to join one of of other timeslots that week.

9. What happens if I am running late?
If you are running late, we ask that you please call PhysioEssentials as early as possible to let us know.
We want you to always arrive safely, so don’t rush, we are happy for you to join in when you arrive.
Please note, our programs have set start and finish times, so if you do arrive late, it will simply mean a shorter session for you in such a situation.

10. What should I wear?
It is best to wear anything that is comfortable for you. Clothing should be adequate for your to move your arms and legs throughout a large range of motion.
You will be also doing all exercises bare foot and with socks on, so footwear is up to you.

11. How do I locate you? And is there parking available?
Physio Essentials is located inside Casula Central (entrance via Hume Hwy at Oporto or Pine Road). Please see the contact us page for map and details.

Once inside the complex, there is plenty of on site (off road) parking.
